George Best "Belfast Boy" Original Painting : Seven Limited edition original Artworks of George Best. Each painting is numbered and signed by the artist.
Lancashire Artist Lauretta Rapley has created these unique artworks exclusively for TShirtsUnited and fans of the late, great George Best.
The inspiration for the paintings came from the idea that so many limited edition artworks are available, but these usually take the form of numbered prints; although there are only ever a certain number printed, the artworks are not unique.
TShirtsUnited wanted to do something special as a tribute to George Best, so it was decided that Lauretta would do seven completely original paintings. Each piece is painted from the same photograph, but they are all drawn and painted from scratch making each one totally exclusive and the only one of its kind.
There will only ever be seven of these paintings; TShirtsUnited and Lauretta Rapley will never reproduce or repeat this series. The paintings are acrylic and coloured pencil on canvas, approximately 20" (50cm) square stretched over a 1 1/2" deep wooden frame.
